So the stabilizer I got comes with the hardware to mount it to the steering. I had installed it on the stabilizer first and then when I went to put it into the steering the hole is not big enough. It's a strange mounting position anyway. So I just took it off and just used the stock hardware that came off of the original stabilizer. Is that ok? Do I need to run the hardware that came with the Rancho? Here are a few photos:

I just got this same steering stabilizer and have run into the same issue. Why would Rancho make a special bolt that doesn't thread into the stock steering hole? or at least tell you in the instructions that you have to drill and tap a bigger diameter hole. Seems odd, unless I'm missing something...

I bought this same kit and installed it (with the rancho bolt) into the Crown Automotive HD steering setup without any issues - I wonder if it's the stock drag link that was different?

The trash company has been in possession of my OEM steering components for a while now so I'll never know!

Some aftermarket steering setups do not have a steering damper mounting hole, so the damper must be installed with a clamp. It’s probably included in the kit to be compatible with all types of steering setups.
