Do anyone else have this bracket on the rear floor? I can’t find it in the parts manual and am wondering it’s purpose. I’m about to replace my carpets and am wondering if I need to re-install it.

I believe that is for the wrap around wind jammer. It pulls it tight to the floor. It is an aftermarket item.

That’s exactly it. I installed that on mine years ago to basiclay make a soft top half cab In combination with a bikini top.
The downside is the seats have to be pretty much at 90 degrees our you have to move them forward, and your sound bar is now outside of the cab.

Well that sure looked like the "header" for a CJ soft top and I will say I couldn't believe it kept water out while driving in the rain but it did. It may have had sealer between it and the CJ windshield frame, IDK.
I'd think that part should have been mounted with sealer and without the carpet and it would still let in water on each end.

It’s more for wind and Sun, definitely does not seal up cab from rain as you end up with sizable gaps around the rollbar and doors.
