I'll Try to keep it as concise as possible. This is for a 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4.0 A/T.
- Turns on fine, no misfires at all.
- In park, I run the engine up to 3200RPM for a bit.
- Then it throttles down by itself and the error codes appear
- Codes are: Multiple Random Misfire, and Misfires in pistons 1 , 2 , 5 , 6.
- The misfire is noticeable now as the jeep is sputtering.
- I turn it off.
- I turn it on and the engine is fine, no misfires at all.
- Rinse Repeat.
The engine is fresh rebuilt so the Cam lobes are fine, the camshaft sychronizer and ignition rail are relatively new. The TPS, Sparkplugs( I don't remember what brand), and the CPS are new as well.
I can't seem to figure this one out, it keeps throwing me for a loop. What bothers me is that once the misfire appears @ 3200RPM in park, I turn the engine off and on and it disappears. So, something is resetting and I can't figure out what. This problem doesn't really appear when I'm driving though.
