The semi strike on the overpass was reported at 9:47 p.m. Oct. 21.
The driver, a 64-year-old man from Wingham, Ontario, Canada, was not hurt.
He is facing a charge of violating the conditions of a permit, according to the Washington State Patrol.

All I know it was a Peugeot. No idea about the shift pattern as I never drove it.
Yea, the only one I've heard of was a Mercedes. Thanx to @Wildman for posting the manual page from "something" - I'm sure they were all the same.
Only one I've ever laid hands on was a Hillman, back in 1981. Couldn't tell you what year the car was, but it was the first time I'd ever heard of a "4 on the tree".
Rumor has it that some 1 st gen Chevy vans had a 4 on the tree. I've never seen one , only 3 spds. and PowerGlides .
