Rapid Blinker Problem

Recently my back left blinker was going twice as fast as normal then it went out and shortly after so did my rear left break light. I’ve replaced the bulbs and my break light and blinker now work but now both my blinkers are going faster then usually and on my dash it is going faster. Besides bulbs what else should I look into ?

You may have another bulb out somewhere. Check your front and front/side marker/turn signal bulbs.

Did you happen to replace the bulbs with LEDs? If so, you will need an LED compatible blinker module like this one (may be cheaper elsewhere) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KQUZHRA/?tag=wranglerorg-20

EDIT: or, you can just re-replace with standard bulbs.

For my '99 with LED headlights, replacing the relay with the suggested one (EP27) did not work. This solution, which is free by the way, did work: .

After digging into this, I found that not all the TJ have the same relay, in the same place. I'm a new owner, so not an expert, but I'm guessing the change happened with the mid '99 changes? Anyway, with my early '99, this link is what I needed to fix my fast blinker due to LED headlights.
