This may have been mentioned before, but I've seen quite a few posts that require reading the codes from the Jeep. I found this cheap Bluetooth OBDII interface that works great for reading and clearing codes on my TJ.

Foseal Bluetooth OBD2 OBD Scanner Check Engine Light OBDii Bluetooth Car Diagnostic Scan Tool for Android Devices https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T5G53ZM/?tag=wranglerorg-20

This one is less than $13 and can do a lot of the same things as the expensive scanners. This one only works with Android devices though. You'll also need the Torque app for about $5. The amount of information you can pull from the ECU is great for troubleshooting or even just to see the magic in real time that goes on inside the computer. Great tools to have for less than $20.

There are some for iPhones but I haven't tested any of them. This one has good reviews on Amazon.

Impressive!

I've been using this one for the past 5 years:

Not as cool as yours by any means, but it's color screen, live diagnostics, and a very intuitive interface!

I've seen this one you mentioned before. I wish something like this worked with my iPhone!
The WiFi model I listed supposedly works with iPhones, check out Engine Link from the app store or one of the other OBDII apps. Sorry, no iPhones in my house to test with.

Curious. Why paid Torque vs free app?
Torque Lite can read and clear codes on a lot of ECU's. The Lite version says it may not support all Chrysler ECU's.I didn't have any issues using it on my 03 TJ, but I did have issues with the Lite version on my 14 Grand Cherokee. I haven't had any problems with the full version and I've used it on six different vehicles now.

Maybe i am lucky but my free version of torque allows me a profile for the gf's mini, my 2003 Ram 4x4 and my 98 tj I have been able to clear codes on all 3. In fact it helped me figure out a wiring issue I had on my TJ. Glad to know it may not work on the newer stuff.
