Rear adjustable track bar vs relocation bracket for 2" lift

Hey everyone,

I would like to know if there is an actual difference if I use a Rear adjustable track bar or a Relocation bracket with the OE rear track bar for 2" Old man lift.

Other than the adjustable trac bar being adjustable no. The stock one will work fine. If you wanna get the axle centered under the jeep perfectly go with the adjustable.

That goes without saying! haha.

Long term though, because I have the patience to build my TJ the right way. I was wondering if there is an actual difference for this kind of lift, or only that I will be able to use the adjustable track bar with a bigger lift in the future (something I am not planning on doing).

Really, if you stay around 2-2.5" in the rear, there's not much value for getting an adjustable rear trackbar. The only limitation using the bracket is it raises the driver's side of the trackbar above it's normal place and it can come into contact with the tub sooner. It may limit your uptravel and you may need more bumpstop. I've seen this before, but I did not personally have a problem when I was at that lift height and using the bracket.

As far as if you do go bigger, you don't know what exactly you'll be doing, so rather than buying a trackbar that you will end up replacing anyway, just go with the bracket and if you ever do, you'll know more and make more informed decision about a trackbar.
