Rear bumper with integrated hitch

I have the Smittybuilt rear rock crawler bumper with integrated hitch. I've had no problems towing a trailer or Jeep with it. I'll write a review this summer after I've had it for a year. So far so good.

I've purchased 3 Smittybuilt products. The bumper I mentioned and a windjammer were both good quality. The seat covers I purchased were complete shit. The straps broke, seems sewn uneven, and material faded in a couple months.

I don't know why my reply has a link in it. I didn't insert that link and it's the wrong bumper.

This one?

I've had that and this one
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001CF5EF8/?tag=wranglerorg-20

And was perfectly happy with both. They were solid, fit well, the finish was good, and they are still on the TJ X I put them on. A buddy of mine bought that TJ, and he is perfectly fine with those bumpers.

I know I'll catch flak for saying this, but some of the products of the Smittybilt & e-autogrille type companies, while made in China, and generally scorned by most, do fill a niche for a lot of those who need something better than oem, but don't want to shell out a ton of cash for higher priced bumpers.

The Amazon extension on this forum hot linked it automatically. I went in and removed it!

I have the e-autogrilles front bumper and while it is made in China, it does the job for me just fine. I haven't had any issues with it at all in almost 2 years now, and I really like the look of it.

Yep, that's it if it's rated 5,000lbs.

The very last brand I would consider is Smittybilt, their quality is hit or miss not to mention they're all made in China.

Dirt Worx has been making bumpers close to me here in SOCAL for many years, I have had twp of his rear bumpers with integrated receiver hitches on my TJs for probably 14-15 years now. They're built extremely well and surprisingly, at only $150, cost less to buy than most other bumpers including Smittybilt's junk. Not to mention they included properly through-welded D-ring shackle tabs.

This is the one I'd go for again if I had need for a third rear bumper... http://www.thedirtworx.com/_p/prd13/1638368235/product/rear-bumper

They come bare steel so you will need to buy aerosol cans of Rustoleum Satin Black paint and Rustoleum self-etching primer but that is a small price to pay for a well-built bumper that costs only $150. Krylon is a good alternative paint brand to Rustoleum that works well for me if you see it.
Jerry,

I was searching around the forum for a hitch-mounted rear bumper and saw you recommended this exact bumper at least twice, but I can't seem to find it on their website anymore. Do you have any other recommendations that are made in the USA that have integrated hitches?

I currently have a Smitty tube rear bumper with an integrated hitch that the PO installed that I hate, and it's useless. The hitch receiver is bent downwards, I suspect it was overloaded at some point.

Thanks

Another option is UCF (Under Cover Fab Works). Just installed one of their rear bumpers with hitch receiver. Excellent quality.

I have the dirtworx. Works well and didn't cost much, has recovery points.

I'm using the hitch to support my spare.
