Hey guys, I recently installed some OME springs, RS5000x, and lowered my transfer case.
It looks like a little bit of oil is coming out of the pinion seal, and when the transmission is in neutral, i can wiggle the driveshaft. It has some rotation, as well as some up/down and side to side movement. Could this be my seal, or would it be something more serious within the differential? 195,000 miles on the vehicle.
We're going to take the driveshaft off this weekend if we can to take a look. Anyone experience things like this, and could it be an at home fix? I know the pinion seal itself is doable.
