Rear seat issue

Hey guys. My rear seat will tumble and fully fold up/push forward... but now I cannot untumble. The hinge does not come far enough back to lock into the plate that is secured on the ground. Get what I mean?

All it does when i slam it back down is make a really loud obnoxious bang.

What year is your Jeep (97-02 rear seats are different than 03-06)? Could you post a pic of it up, and where/how it's hitting when you try to put it back down?

I had a similar problem after I removed my seat and then re-installed. I had the front mounts in the wrong location.

This, had it happen to me once. Here’s a picture of the front hook & latch. This for 03-06.
