Anyone know if the bushing that attaches to the rear axle needs to be slitted on the flat side to be installed? The OE has a slit, but the Crown version does not. On Crown’s website they show a bushing with a slit. But what I received does not have one.

Would anyone recommend I slit it, or try to slide it in from the end? Seems like a messy option.

The replacements I used recently were slit on the flat side. I think you’ll have a lot of trouble sliding it on so I’d recommend the slit. I used a bit of wheel bearing grease to slip mine over the bar but someone recently posted they used dish soap and I’d go that way if I was doing it now.
