Rear window / door weatherstripping

I just purchased an OEM hard top for my 2006 TJ and am trying to figure out if I am missing a piece of weatherstripping.
The top has the Liftgate Seal Retainer and Weatherstrip Seal (though looks to need to be replaced).

My question is, is there something that should sit on the door itself?
It feels like there should be something on the door to compress the seal on the glass as right now the glass rattles when I hit bumps and such.
Or is it just the weatherstrip needing to be replaced?

Nothing sits on the tailgate itself, but you should have this piece on the glass:

That is a bar with a piece of weather stripping that attached to it. When shut against the tailgate, it provides a waterproof seal.

I have that piece and will replace the seal to see if that fixes the rattle. I thought there may be something else I am missing.

Nope, it sounds like you have it all in that case.

I went with this for my hard top, same issues, rattles, pops out of the lip. No Problems since

cut a piece of hose the length of your tail gate...slit it down the center... slip over tailgate...rattle stoped for me...
