Recommendation on coolant bypass valve

I would like to have a valve on hand when I drain the coolant for other leak repairs. I have seen and heard of others putting in a manual valve so the the hot coolant is not sent into the HVAC box in the summer. This valve would also need to keep the coolant flowing at all times, I think.
I know its just another source of a coolant leak but have always wanted to try it. This TJ heater hoses are really easy to get to, also gets me thinking about this.

Yes I was referring to the recent post with the multiport valve. If I lived in the south, your example would fit the bill. Here is Oklahoma City we need heat from time to time.

Thanks for this link. Its what I was mentioning, but seems bigger than envisioned. That would accomplish the goal.
Their site also lists a fancy one with a electro servo valve, for twice the price.

Back in the day these were often called "summer-winter" valves. The A/C in my old Ford pickup worked much better when there wasn't hot coolant flowing through the heater core behind the glove box. Hotrodders use them alot.
