Recommended starter

Well, I've tried 2 mopar websites and the dealership - no starters to be found, they're on backorder with bo ETA.

Napa can only get remanned starters.

Any suggestions on where to get a decent one from?

FWIW I've never had an issue with any starters I've bought from the box stores. Since I don't use my jeep as a daily driver and the starter is pretty easy to remove I would opt to save some money.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the grand Cherokee should have the same starter for that year. I'm sure if you look at car-part.com you can find plenty in your area. @Chris ?

There are higher powered aftermarket starters, but they’re pointless for 99% of people.

The only applications I can think of for these would be for hill starts without using the clutch, or highly modified engines.

Just go with a quality brand. I use AC Delco parts in a lot of applications with success

I always just had my factory starters rebuilt. It's pretty easy for most places to do and doesn't cost much.
