Removing Spare Wheel - Secure Hard Top Window?

Well colour me surprised. I've removed the wheel and yep the tailgate holds the window in!

Now to fill in the holes.

If you're referring to the threaded mounting holes for the spare tire carrier, I just used the original bolts (if I remember correctly, or maybe got some shorter ones) and some rubber washers behind metal washers, and plugged them up that way.

Yeah, will likely do that, but there's also the hole from the light wire. I guess i could do the same, just unsure if it would look good. This is purely a form over function build!

You can find a rubber grommet to plug the hole if it bugs you

I see this got resolved. However, sometimes the tailgate won’t hold the rear window shut. We added some weather stripping across the top of the tailgate and that resolved it.
