Removing Transmission Tower? NSG370

So here was my over engineered end solution for extending the breather nipple. The little 3/8" copper elbow fits nice and snug over it,but I still opted to pack it down with Quicksteel, which can still be removed cleanly at a later time if I need to take it off.

I did the same on my old intake... however I placed a wire nut inside the mini filter because I did trust that it would keep the elements out.
