Like many others, my evap filter broke down and the charcoal was plugging up my purge valve. They don’t make a 97 replacement any longer, so I bought a 98-02 TJ purge canister. My 97 only had the 2 lines....one from the tank and the other to the purge valve. The larger opening had a cap and the last one had no hose. The 98 evap canister has the 3/8” hose from the the tank and a 1/2” hose to the the purge valve. Can I plug the 3rd opening with a cap? The 97 doesn’t have a leak detection pump.
