I have an 03 TJ that has a severely bent LCA on the passenger side. Upon closer inspection, it appears to be torn and one side of the bracket is about to come off completely. My question is, do I need to remove the entire axle assembly to replace these brackets? Or can I just do it from under the jeep while it's still attached? It looks like I can. Just wondering if anyone else has done this. The videos I've seen all do it with the assembly removed. I've read where some people have replaced the brackets and been back on the road in a couple of hours. They couldn't have possibly removed the whole front assembly, replaced the brackets, and reinstalled the whole thing in 2 or three hours. RIght??
This all came about while checking the rest of the components because of a recent death wobble development. Turns out I have several loosey-goosey components under there that need to be replaced. All of which can be done without removing the front axle.
Any thoughts?
