First time poster- long time reader-
I have an 06 TJ with about 120k on it- stock height- repairs made with factory style parts .
Recently, I developed an issue where the jeep would track to the left when accelerating/ just as I let off the accelerator. I determined motor mounts were the most likely culprit, as it didn’t pull when braking/ coasting, and I’ve already replaced a majority of the suspension components within the last few years….
(front and rear UCAs and LCAs, the control arm bushing on top of the pumpkin, welded on new front LCA brackets [to replace the smashed up original ones], sway bar end links, front and rear shocks, body mounts, maybe more I’m not thinking of).
I replaced the motor mounts yesterday and it seems to have fixed my issue maybe 80%, but I still notice a slight pull when I let off the gas as highway speeds.
Could it be the Trans mount? I replaced this preemptively about 2 years ago, when I had the belly pan off. I can’t see why it would wear out so fast, considering I don’t use the jeep for wheeling.
I find it odd that motor mounts would fix the problem most of the way, but not entirely.
