When I am in reverse there is a loud clicking happening and I'm not sure where its coming from, it goes in and out of reverse just fine but this noise only sounds when moving backwards in reverse. Anyone know the possible problems?

AX-5 in a 2.5 or AX-15 with a 4.0.

Probably just a chipped gear or worn bearing.

What fluid are you running and have you drained it and checked for glitter?

MT-90 is the fluid of choice...might solve the issue.

Or is it an automatic? So many choices...we need more clues!

It’s a 4.0, and is manual, I have not checked any fluid in a couple months.
