Roll Cage replacement covers w/ padding

I would like to replace my existing covers for my roll cage. From previous owner, they are very damaged and dis-colored. Has anyone replaced theirs? I would like to do a "refresh" if you will...

However, it appears you have an LJ, and Bestop doesn't make roll bar covers for the LJ unfortunately. To be honest, I'm not really finding any for the LJ... Maybe I'm not looking hard enough though.

It would appear everyone's LJ does.

Wan to know my suggestion? Find a competent auto upholstery shop in your area. This is something they'd be able to make for you very, very easily, and probably not charge you more than a few hundred dollars.

I've used auto upholstery shops for similar situations in the past, and always had good luck.

I removed my current TJ's rollbar covers due to their absorbed filth but if if you want the padding for functionality as in protecting the noggin, slip-on pipe insulation like you can find in Home Depot fits perfectly. It is slit length-wise so it just slips on. This shows it installed in my previous TJ.

And all you'd really have to do if you wanted to make it look prettier is follow Jerry's suggestion, and then have an upholstery shop sew up some cloth covers to go over that padding.

I'm looking for way to support the windshield area during a rollover. It seems that every Jeep I see that rolls over the factory roll cage works great..... except for the windshield area. I've looked on Quadratec & EXTREMETERRAIN haven't seem much. I don't want to replace my factory roll bars just add to the windshield area.
Any ideas?

Smittybilt has a cage that bolts up to the existing roll bar. Rustys has a piece that bolts up to and goes across.
