Rubicon Axle Swap

No problem! Definitely relocating mine now that this has been brought up. Seems like a silly place to mount these things from the factory.

So now on to the pumps for real! Which (color) wires do I use going to the relay/switch. I know it's not complicated just want to get it right the first time around. I am going to mount them on the ABS tray.

You might try using the OE compressor mounting bracket to hold the compressors. It has the rubber isolation grommets the compressors mount to which makes the mounting of them pretty easy. I cut my bracket a little so it could be mounted on the driver's side fender well which has worked well for years.

Sorry to wake this thread up. But I have front and rear rubicon axles going in my 97 sport. I have the used pumps ready and tested. I fully understand how to wire them to relays and a switch setup. I understand how to route the lines to the axles.

What's up with the pigtails coming off the axles? Is that some kind of open/closed loop for signaling the dash in 03-06 Rubicons? Or is that some kind of secondary loop that needs opening/closing in order to lock the lockers?

Thanks in advance.

Have my compressors mounted in the cab on the floor board on passenger side. Far enough forward to be out of the way but still covered by rubber mat. Works good and keeps them safe from mud and water.
