Rubicon locker tube inside diff

as i suspected, the vaccuum tube in my front diff has come off the diff case nipple. in the several months before i got around to checking, the tube has had intimate relations with the big gear teeth. will typical vaccuum hose make these bends without kinking, or do i need to find the correct molded tube?

also, when i fixed the same problem in the rear a year ago (no tube damage), i used a small zip tie to secure the tube to the nipple. any problems with that?

The tube just holds low pressure air. Put some air in the one you have and see if it's leaking. If not you could probably run with it but wouldn't hurt to grab a new one. I'd try to find a pre-bent one. I put a zip tie on mine about 10 years ago and its still there.

I used small constant tension clamps I found at orielly's when I found a loose tube.

thanks guys. i included the pic to show the gaping hole near the left end, it def needed replace. i found thin wall 3/16 fuel line at the scag dealer that easily makes the needed bends without kinking. cover back on, fluid tomorrow
