Savvy mid arm front frame bracket

Installing mid arm on an LJ and there’s what appears to be a frame reinforcement on top of front frame bracket area. Does this need to be removed or trim to fit?

I had to slightly trim the bracket to make it fit over the reinforcement.

The correct front mid arm bracket for the TJ Unlimited has only half of the C for the lower part of the frame. The upper reinforcement that lands on the top half of the frame C is still there and in the same spot on the TJU version. It lands on top of the factory reinforcement. In short, full C that matches the other side, is TJ, half of the C on the lower part is TJ Unlimited.
