I have an 04 LJ and am looking for a replacement seat belt. It looks like there's a part # for earlier years, a different part # for 03-04, and yet another for 05-06. Does anyone have an idea about the differences? Is it color or something minor, or will an earlier or later seatbelt not fit or work in an 03-04?

Do you have a broken seat belt unit?

it’s not retracting. Im going to try to clean and lube it now that I know it’s a potential fix. Concurrently, I’d like to try to find a replacement

If you can't get it freed up, Seat Belt Restore will repair for $65. I have no idea what a replacement would cost.

Thanks. I saw another thread this morning where that was mentioned and it seems like a good option. I need to check the condition of the webbing to see if it makes sense to fix the mechanism or replace in the event that I can't get it freed up.

Any news on how this went? My passenger side won't retract and the quote I got from the dealership for the Mopar replacement parts was
Drivers side retractor $318.
buckle $210.
Passenger side retractor $782.
buckle $358

Sounds like that 65$ repair linked above is a pretty good price.
