Securing your rear seat in the folded up position

Any decent hardware store should have something similar.

I've also been considering taking it out completely, and just putting it in when I expect to have passengers on a ride.

I took mine out to clean about a week ago. I decided to leave it out and work on a cargo storage system. It really doesn't get used much anymore.
Sure enough, a couple days later the situation arose where I needed it and didn't have it with me.
Back to the drawing board.

That’s why I’m worried to take mine out to put in a storage system, I almost never use it but I need it there for the rare occasion when I need to drive more than one person

I found out the hard way that when you accelerate they tend to fly back down, I had my fishing rod back there and my seat came down and snapped it

I use small bungee straps to secure my pole to underside of upper roll bar
