Shifter Bushing?

2006 4.0 6 speed, my son was driving the jeep and came in and said the shifter was loose. I went and checked it out and there is a ton of play (wiggles side to side) in the shifter in all gears, both while driving and while stopped. It does go into gear and drives, but it being so loose, I wouldnt trust it at this point. Could it be the shifter bushing?

As a follow up, I had a minute this morning to pull the shifter boot and the shift lever is loose on the shifter tower. I didnt have time to mess with it, but hopefully that is the issue.
