Automatic transmission shifter bushing inside repair

I got home from work and put the jeep in park but then I needed to go back to work and was not able to shift to reverse or drive or any other gear. I checked the bottom of the jeep and the bushing was still in place. I was worried that it might be something else. I looked around here and on YouTube and always found that it is usually the bottom bushing that breaks! I saw one of a JK that showed the shifter bushing inside the jeep! I removed the cover and lo and behold it was this one that was broken! Also read somewhere here that the bushings are the same for 03 to 18. The Amazon bushings for a TJ were $20, the JK ones are $7 so I got the JK ones. Pictures below:

and they do fit my 06 LJ! I soaked the bushing in hot water and snapped it to the shifter cable then to the shifter.

I guess those pics are out of sequence? If we can fix that and add a little text, this is prime content for the How-To section.
 
Just did this out in the driveway. I know it's an old post, but thank you for posting it.
