I'm trying to piece together the previous owner's mods. Can anyone help me identify what shocks I have by part number. Internet search hasn't proved successful. (pic is from the rear)...thanks!
Thanks, so then that also answers my follow up about what lift is on my rig.
So follow up now is, is this lift and shocks any good or should I consider changing shocks (been reading about the rancho 5000x) pavement ride is a little choppy but I am also riding on BFG KM2 mud tires.
The ranchos are great shocks, especially when you factor in how cheap they are. I've ran bilsteins and ome nitro chargers and the ranchos are by far the best. They won't make the jeep ride like a Cadillac but they handle high impact bumps much better. Also, make sure your tires are set to the right psi. Likely around 26-27 psi.
The springs are probably ok, it's the shocks that so many places go cheap on. And it is the worst thing to go cheap on. Why these companies use such shitty shocks in their kits is a mystery. They could sell a lot more product if they only used a better shock. It's the biggest reason people stay away from that company's entire product line.
