If you keep your soft top jeep outside all the time (no garage), should I cover it with a tarp? I've seen some Jeep covered with a tarp, so I was wondering if this is a good time I should be doing.

I don't like tarps, they scratch and trap moisture. I bought a trial cover that covers the top and doors to keep moisture out of my half door TJ. Weatherproof but still breathes

I'd suggest not doing it. In wind the two tops will rub each other and cause wear and you'll also stop the jeep from drying. I made this mistake with my boat one year I had two tops and it and my nice lower top got a lot of wear marks and you could see mold all over it.

I bought parts from a wrecked Rubicon in 2011. When I went to pick them up the jeep was tarped and the seller was shocked at how much surface rust had appeared inside the tub over a couple of months being covered. That was in the middle of Summer and we live in a relatively dry climate as well.
