The side step is rusting out on my Jeep and has a hole in it. Wanted to see if someone has factory side steps just laying around that they don't need anymore. I would love the one that is just the simple step like this one https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/tj-side-step-replacement.28470/ . Will that mount on an '06 Rubi? The current one goes through the body mounts and is the tubular model. It moves down every time I step on it and it can't be made tighter.

You could look at your frame to determine if it has the mounting holes in the frame.
If not, I don't see why you couldn't drill holes and add nutserts similar to factory.

I would check local classified ads. Maybe Craigslist or Facebook market place.
Off road shops might have them too, but they will want to charge you for them.
