Reactions: Wranglerfix
Me either my buddy swears by the thing lol so i guess ill give it a shot and if that dont work im gonna try wranglerfix probably. All i did was change plugs and coil pack and the cranlshaft pos sensor and went to start it and itll crank just wont start

Im gonna see if the thing works since i already ordered it and if it dont your up to bat my friend lol i need this fixed asap part should be here tomorrow so ill know for sure and message you

SKIM does not typically stop it from starting. It will start, run for 3 seconds or so and then die. I strongly suspect you have something else going on if it was fine before you attacked it with your grubby crumb snatchers.

Crank pos sensor requires a re learn does it not?

What do you suppose it would be? My gauges arent reading and my anti theft system is staying on all i did was the stuff i said but that shouldnt affect it because even if a coil was bad it would still start but just run like crap lol and i have the old crankshaft pos sensor still and apparently that wasnt the problem since i am getting same results. Any suggestions?

The part i have coming is basically a new pcm thats preprogrammed without the skim system in it its a plug and play all i have to do is disconnect neg battery cable unplug the immobilizer and plug in the pcm and it should bypass the skim alltogether so in the future it wont mess up anymore only downside to it that i seen is the light will stay on in the dash but i can live with that and just pull the bulb out of the cluster as long as i get movin again

IF the coil is bad the engine may not start at all.
Ensure the wiring harness is properly seated in the coil rail connector.
I would check for blown fuses in the PDC (fuse/relay block in engine compartment)

Would that make the anti theft system turn on? From what ive figured out it shouldnt have affected it, ive been wrong before though lol. I checked ignition fuse and it was good i even went as far as putting the old rail back on it and leaving the new plugs in it to see if i had a bad coil and same results. I do have an immobilizer on my ignition switch so hopefully this bypass i am getting works ill check back in on here with results

The SKIM Immobilize problem is a separate issue from the other work you performed unless you some how shorted the 5V reference voltage will working on the CPS then it could have affected the ECU.

I was just watching a video on that im gonna check all that in the morning the way i understand it is when i unplug the shorted sensor with the key on i should be able to hear the fuel pump kick on because it will return to the 5 volts once the short is disconnected and my OBD reader that i have should communicate with the computer again then i just have to trace to where the short is located and do some operating lol

If the Jeep ran before that change, before I replaced anything else, even if it's already been delivered to my front porch, I'd start with changing back to the originals one at a time to see the new part actually functions.

Now that I double checked that sentence, If neither of those swaps fixed the problem, I'd change back both at the same time because both new parts could be junk.

Heck, maybe you'll get lucky and find a wire you never reconnected.
