There are a set of sliding windows for half doors locally for $60, but the wrong color. What all would I need to do to make them work? Can I use my vinyl somehow? What are the cons of sliders? Thanks for any help.

A very sharp knife, aircraft shears, cardboard for a template, enough 0.060" sheet plastic (flexible, but stiff) to make two liners, a boat load of quality pan head machine screws of the right size, gorilla tape and time / patience. Lots of patience. Extra skins for the uppers helps when you screw up. Double sided high bond tape.
I'll do a write up when I get a weather window and do mine.
Those appear to be Bestop sliders. They should be good to go. I have the discontinued Iron Horse sliders. Those work fine as well, just not as good fit and finish.
Think hard about swapping in sliders yourself. There's a lot to it to get them correctly installed. It may be worth the coin to just buy a set of sliding uppers that match your top. I'm doing mine because no one makes uppers, to my knowledge, with sliders and twill material.
That is the cheapest deal I have ever seen for those. I would buy them and use vinyl paint. What color are you looking for?
These are originally black. But faded to that grey color. Might not actually look that bad on your Jeep. But you could easily paint them back to their stock color of black. SEM color coat comes to mind. I think that is good with vinyl. It's the high end paint people use in a spray can.
From what I can tell these only come black. That's not to say you couldn't paint them whatever color you want. But your not going to find your Jeeps stock color in these. Based on your Jeep in your avatar.
As to your question about running these. It's better than the plastic ones. Plastic windows have distortion in them. And it's hard to see left and right sometimes. A clear glass window opens up your field of view a great deal. And sliding the windows is alot easier than unzipping them like the plastic ones. If you love half doors I would go with sliders. But having run half doors. I would vote for full doors over half for the reasons above. With full doors you have a full 180 degree field of view. They also seal up better. Just my 2 cents. YMMV.
Well I just noticed it was posted 24 days ago. They are probably gone to be honest, but I told the seller I would buy them if they are there. I doubt it. TONS of Jeeps around here.
