Slight misfire after tune up

Swap out #1 and #2 plugs. Check to make sure that the gap on #1 is set correctly. Make sure that the wire for #1 is fully connected at both ends and that one of the boots isn't pushed down to far. A sooty plug means incomplete ignition, and the plug will clean itself once it is firing correctly. Unless it's oily. Then you have another issue.

Well put new plug in front hole, ran the same. Pull that plug and it's black again so every new one i put in the front it turns up black within 5 min of running. The rest are fine.

Oil is not a good sign. Do you have a screw in compression gauge? It may be time to do a compression check. Do both a wet and dry check, that'll tell us more. Also check the distributor cap for carbon tracks. Though I doubt that's the problem. It's a cheap check though.

Following...I have an intermittent misfire on cylinder 1. Comes and goes, sometimes throws a code...only happens at idle though and when its cold. I have cleaned my IAC, swapped plugs, and swapped injectors. Code is ALWAYS on cylinder one. I'm thinking coil or head gasket.

I don't have one but can go buy one and do a compression test.. what do i need to look for in the Cap?
Inside the cap will be something that looks like a scratch or a crack. It should be near the #1 spark plug connection. Because the cap is new, you may not be able to see it very well.

On the oil, it may be something as simple as an intake valve stem seal giving up the ghost. That's easy and cheap to fix. There are other causes as well.
