97 4.0 TJ 218xxx miles. I live in Ohio. My rear window is coming undone at the zipper. I have tried other alternative methods to repair old ones and none have worked. I tried button snaps, tape, clamps, etc. these were attempts on other soft tops. I am fishing to see if anyone has discovered a way to repair the zipper rear window. I know buying a new one is one way, but the military doesn't pay well and I can't afford a new one. So if anyone has a technique that will allow me to prolong the life of my soft rear window through the winter I would appreciate it.

Check Craigslist. There are always people selling soft tops and windows. You can snag up an old window and make do for now.

I guess I should explain a little more...the zippers seem to work, what I am running into is the "hook and loop" teeth seem to only secure each other in random spots. the zipper will start and the teeth will not mesh until about 7-8 inches up the side and then the corners will pull apart after all the way attached. I am gonna see if there is a "larger" zipper.

So quick update...I managed to repair my rear window for now. I removed the small band that holds the zipper on the hook and loop. I then removed both zippers. I took the original zipper that is on the driver side of the rear window and flipped it over and re-applied it to the top. Sure I may have only have one zipper but it works for now and lets me keep a few bills in my pocket.
