Soft top question?

So after looking at my soft top frame. And looking on quadratec I think I'm missing something. The straps circled in green are not on my top are they needed and if so what can I do to make my own.

Do you have a mopar soft top and frame and is the quadratec one the same style? I've just got a bamini top but I remember researching framed soft tops and finding several differnt types of frames for them.

You could certainly make your own, but yes, they are needed. They keep that rear bow from being able to go back any further than it should and collapse the top. I also think you could by replacements for really cheap I imagine.

No, they are not elastic. They are made of the same seatbelt material are made, btw is a piece of seatbelt.
Mine has two rivets holding the strap to the pipe. You may want to check how many are in yours and try to reuse all.
A trip to your local Pull-a-Part yard will save you some money.
