Soft top rear window zipper broken

Picked up a used OEM soft top. After installing it I noticed that the zipper retainer box is missing for the rear window. It’s my understanding that these are normally pressed on to the box pin and replacing the complete zipper assembly might be required.

Has anyone had this problem and did you find a way to correct it. I do have some zipper parts on order to see if I can come up with something.

i was able to buy a new zipper from Bestop for my OEM top. I had a local upholstery shop stitch it in for me. Take the window when you take the top and zipper because they sewed the new zipper slightly off center so it was skewed when installed.

Ok thanks for the info. I’ll starting looking for a shop that can repair it with a new zipper.
