For those that remove their soft top and install the hard top for winter, how do you store your soft top? On the frame or off? If on the frame, do you store it in the "up" position?

I plan to store mine in my basement, and have plenty of room. I'm going to remove the windows and store them laying flat in a bag, and was thinking about storing the top mounted on the frame with the windshield header mounted resting on a saw horse or something similar.

I remove the frame except for the windshield header. Then I can fold the top up and fit it all on a single 24x48" shelf with some overhang. Windows go into the bag I use to store the windows with the top down, except I don't roll it.

Hard top is lashed to the ceiling with paracord during the summer.

Good thread .

Wash and dry it first then treat with 303 protectant, store with no tight folds , draped and open is good, with no sunlight or fluorescent light on it.

I take the frame off and put the top across the spare bed. Helps keep the inlaws away! My basement is too musty to keep it there anyways.
