Anybody know the difference between a 5-1330X and 5-793X u-joint?

I ask because the rebuild kit I bought from Dennys a while back wasn't the Master Rebuild Kit. It was only for the CV side. I need to get the slip yoke boot (I mean, I don't really need it do I?) and I need the pinion yoke u-joint which, by looking at the two kits, seems to be a different u-joint part number. Though when you look at the details of the 5-793X it suggests that it may be a alternative to the 1330.

Forgive my ignorance on the dimensions of these parts. I only ask because I need to order that particular u-joint and they are sold out of the 5-793X and would like to know if another 5-1330X will work on the pinion yoke side of the driveshaft.

I prefer non-greaseable, BTW.

They are not interchangeable. A 1330 is a symmetrical u-joint that is a 1330 size on both pairs of bearing caps. The 5-793X is a conversion u-joint that converts from one size (1330) to another. Your rear u-joint needs to be a 5-793X to convert from the u-joint size used at the rear axle's yoke to the size on the transfer case.

BTW, that's pretty expensive for a 793x. I think most places were selling them for $16. Supply and demand, I guess.

Thanks Jerry. I did see it. I was trying to get secondary confirmation from someone here that has done the job themselves; like you. Hence...why I asked if they were correct. Dennys is a great resource but I don't always trust parts graphs and charts.
