When I do sharp turns at low speed, it sounds like the wheels squeak as I move forward. Is this a matter of something needing grease?

Does it change pitch or get faster when moving faster?
One possibility is the u-joints in your front axle shafts could be going. I seem to recall them being sealed. I’m not familiar with the best way to check them without removing them, but you can try moving the inner axle shaft ears. If they move easily relative to the joint or outer axle shaft, the u joints may be toast.
A wheel bearing could make a squeaking noise too, but wheel bearings often present more symptoms like squeaking at various speeds. To check these, lift the tire off the ground and move the wheel side to side (also check up and down while you’re at it). If there’s side to side movement, it could be a bad wheel bearing (it could also be tie rod ends).
(Up and down but not side to side would indicate worn ball joints.)
A warped brake rotor could result in a minor rubbing sound at low speed.
If the noise occurs with the vehicle fully stopped but with the wheel at full lock it could be a power steering pump.

U-joint caps don't rotate while the wheels are straight. The sharper you turn, the more the caps rotate on the trunions. Sounds like it is time for a new u-joint.
