Does anybody know the spline count for the upper intermediate shaft u joint. I am trying to find just a 3/4 round shaft that will fit that U-Joint to make a custom column that adapts to the stock column. That u joint seems to be permanently mounted so I would rather not try and replace that. I think I counted a 35 spline on the stock column with a slot for alignment. I was thinking I could possibly get a 36 spline shaft and file out a spline. Not sure if someone has tried to this before or has an easier suggestion. Here is a picture of the start to a dash I am making. It’s on a 98 TJ I’m not sure if the columns changed in later years.
