Combine it with a quick release, you can carry your wheel around with your stereo face-plate when you are mall crawling!
Don't think that would work here for PA Inspections.

Post # 24 they talk about how to modify your clock spring to keep it working with a aftermarket steering wheel.
Of course if you don't want to keep your clock spring there are more ways to do this but you lose the self cancel feature for your turn signals and you have to figure out your horn.
You found it, I have seen this at least a dozen times.
Well I wouldn't need to replace the whole column. So it would still have original light switch, turn signal etc. I would just be replacing the steering wheel and clock spring. The wiring is going to be different, as they made alot of changes to wiring, as the switching for the lights is in the LJ column, and the TJ is is the old pull switch. Probably run into more stuff. I think the splines would be same, if a WJ wheel can fit a TJ. Probably have to swap wiring from TJ column to LJ to make it work.

Basically I just want to know if anyone has tried installing a steering wheel from 03-06 on to a 98-02.
Reviving this here but im thinking about it......i have a brand new momo "Prototipo" wheel laying around that i bought for cheap and man is it a sexy wheel......my airbag hasntworked work since the begining of this year since i broke the clockspring so ive been riding with no horn either and uhmmm....im thinking about just buying a hub and call it a day but i also daily drive 82 miles a day so ill kinda need an airbag if i ever get into an accident, God forbid
been in a accident going 50-60 mph and hydroplaned and no airbag needed cause they never went off so ill be good says my brain said and my body......but if i want to be responsible i guess ill just buy a clockspring first for my Lj and just rock the stock crusty steering wheel...
May delete this cause ive lost a bit of sleep and cant get my mind over this.....
Edit- And i may get flamed for sayin this but oh well, FAAFO
I would get the clockspring fixed so your airbag will work. Don't risk your life for a purdy steering wheel, it's not worth it.
Yeah.....i kinda made my decision.....as to why i deleted my comment, posting here really made me realize to just keep the stock wheel !
But thank you ! I know people have already picked at ya for your usernameits still kinda funny seeing you username and telling me its not worth it.....ahhh the irony! But again thank you for your input, i needed that
Edit- Well damn yall were quick![]()
