Steering wheel trim question

Am I missing a piece of trim that covers the clock spring?

I don't think so, unless we're both missing it. My '04 looks the same.

Thanks. It would seem there should be something there to help keep dirt and dust out of the clockspring area. I do realize the clockspring itself is somewhat enclosed, if I’m not mistaken.
