Sticky auto floor shifter

Hi Anyone

I just came home with a cherry LJ and will be asking a lota question going forward

First issue:
Sticky automatic floor shifter, assuming a lubrication issue, do I take the shifter housing off inside the cab or go under
Opinions please

not stuck in park moves thru full range but very hard to move

Did you ever get to the bottom of this?
Does the linkage require lube from time to time?
