I have read a lot on how to diagnose it, I go out and check things find what might be a cause then replace the problem. It seems to help for a little while. Then back to wobble. Now that the weather has finally gotten cold down here, the wobble is much worse. Leading me to look at rubber bushings even closer. On my way home last night I had like five episodes of full on death wobble where I had to come to a complete stop. Its a good thing I only have back roads to drive and they are rough. I would figure with that many occurrences something would be easily identified. I can not find much movement in my checks as I have replaced most everything.
I have a 6 month old rough country adjustable track bar. I did notice about a 1/4 inch movement in the bushing. Has anyone replace the bushings with a Johnny Joint?
I also noticed that my Lower control Arm,s bushings have a ring in the dirt where they appear to be moving. the dirt around the bushing is about 1/16 of an inch circular gap around the bushing. There is a perfect ring about the bushing in the dirt on both sides. I hope that makes since. So I replaced the bolts with some Currie greaseable bolts and torqued to spec but stil no joy.
with how violent the wobble gets I figured something would break. I have checked welds meticulously and everything is secure. I am going to do a full on slow disassembly and check each part. I do have one more question for anyone but I have read where Blaine has asked someone to adjust their toe in to 5/8 out and test drive it and see if the wobble goes away. If it does go away what does that indicate?
As always thank you for any input and advice. I am now getting frustrated with it as I am at a loss and tired of just buying replacement parts that dont fix my problem.
