Strange noise

The other night I was driving a couple hours away to go camping with my friends. On the way, I hit a bump and heard a loud bang followed by a grinding noise. I played it safe and trailered it home. I then checked the rear end and it was good, then decided to pull the front driveshaft and the noise went away. all the ujoints feel good. any guesses as to what the noise could be?

Put it in 4WD to spin the tcase and see what it sounds like with the front shaft out.

still no sound. it either has top be the front axle or driveshaft im assuming

The front axle is still turning. Probably the double carden on the driveshaft.

probobly just going to buy an adams or tomwoods. I just replaced all the ujoints and centering yolk too

I went with a TW front shaft when mine went. No issues.
