Stuck in four wheel drive

After splitting the case I found the spring for the shifter fork had somehow come off when I reassembled and was laying in the bottom stick to the magnet. Getting ready to reassemble keeping my fingers crossed LOL
Had a few delays my son came in from out of town. Once I installed the spring back on the shift fork everything works fine. I'll still do not know how that spring could have come off when I reassembled the first time but oh well lesson learned. Now if I can only get the speedometer to work again LOL
Very likely your speedometer gear housing is just not rotated far enough so its speedometer gear can engage the pinion gear underneath inside the tcase.
Yeah that's what I was thinking I'm going to mess with it this evening but the speedometer sensor does not seem to fit into the transfer case very well is it supposed to go flush or just up to the o-ring
