I know a lot of Jeep guys are into this stuff or interested - I sprayed the Surface Shield underneath my two cars (jeep stays in the garage in winter these days). Not sure I made the right move. It smells very strongly. I had a headache and felt sick after applying (I used cheap surgical mask, maybe needed something better). Also people said to use clothes that you can throw out - ya no joke!! I took three showers and my arms still smell of chemicals - use long sleeves.
I shot fluid film in the door drain holes and hood because it is supposed to be thinner and creep better but I found it still to be pretty thick and not come out the straw very good. I sprayed the surface shield on the bottom of the door edges and it got onto the door sills, seals which makes getting in and out of the vehicle an issue trying not to get it on your pants so I'm going to have to try and clean it off that spot.
Overall I used about 6 cans of surface shield and 1 can of fluid film for two vehicles including removing each wheel and getting all the suspension too.
So now I have this oily mess all on the undercarriage. I am planning on getting a new vehicle soon and thought it would be great to do this when brand new but now I'm not so sure I'll be trying this again. After reading all the positive reviews on Surface shield and fluid film I'm sort of bummed that I didn't have as good of an experience so far.
