Swapped leaking steering box with Durango box. Got no steering

Took the leaky stock box out last night and out in the reman’d Durango box. Everything fit and I put in new lines as well.

put in new steering fluid and get no steering. Almost feels like there’s no power assist or there’s something holding up wheels.

Any clues? Could I have reversed the high and low pressure lines into the box? Would that stop the box from working entirely?

The pressure and return have different size fittings, so that wouldn't happen. That box and lines are most likely just full of air. Just need to bleed it out

Stupid question but how would one bleed a steering box?

Without the engine on, put the axle up on jack stands and freely turn it from left to right, keeping the revisor topped off with power steering fluid. Keep doing this until you don’t see any more fluid disappear. The turn the engine on and do the same.
