Tactical and High End Flashlights

Got several different ones I've accumulated. Surefire, streamlight, olight etc.

The only memorable one is the streamlight pen light. Happened to find it on Fins n Things on our first Moab trip. It looked like it'd been run over a few times but it still works to this day.

Some of my favorites
L-R
Sofrin Lantern black one runs on 4x18650 and will got for days. Orange on a 21700 cell and is perfect for hotel bathroom night light

Next two tall ones are “throwers” want to see what’s waaay over there.

Gray one is a Convoy S2 18650 the goto glovebox, gear box, kitchen draw. Comes in a variety of output tints. Guy names Simon does nice work.

Blue and black are AA/14500 about the size of chapstick. Carry on, movie theater, dopp kit.

Three blue ones are made by Hank, first one has an embedded trit in the tail cap, lighted and aux lights on the head. The next two, also made by Hank but a higher quality build and more emitter options in 18650 (camping, trail ride, dog walks) the small one is also an AA/14500 and lives on my night stand. Last one is a thumb size keychain 18630 supper bright for its size with a nice button lockout.

Yes my wife makes fun of me.

Anyone looked into the new LEP (Laser Excited Phosphor) lights? This one is a combination unit with a LEP & LED with a zoomable LEP that has a claimed range of about 1 mile. I need to find someone to buy me one. https://www.acebeam.com/terminator-m1

I hadn't thought of flashlights as a high end or collector thing. The stuff I keep in the cars are cheap square led magnetic lights and headlamps. Because, I don't normally have a kid handy to hold a light for me, it needs to stick somewhere to free up my hands. You reminded me to do a function check on the lights in everyone's cars.

I have a tiny 1/2x3.5in light I got in a Surviveware first aid kit I bought for everyone in the family one Christmas. I carry the light in my bag with a multi-tool and the first aid kit in the cars (with an added tourniquet and quick clot). I like the light because it's tiny and click on, click off. So many make you scroll through high, med, low, strobe, ... to get to off.

Maybe I should look around now that battery tech and charging has advanced. USB-C charging would be nice since the cars all have chords in them.

This is one of my favorites for the cars. Built in USB C recharging on a replaceable 16340 battery. Magnetic base and easy on/off headband.

I've been using this NEBO for quite a few years now, and I use it a lot. I just recently had to replace the rechargeable 18650 battery. NEBO is kind of a middle of the road brand and sold at a lot of contractor's supply houses which is where I got mine.

I got 2 sofrin lights, one headlamp one flashlight. The headlamp is by far the best headlamp I have ever seen. It is heavier than most mechanics ones but it's worth the extra weight. It's also my go to light when camping. It has 2 bulbs and it's rechargeable.

The flashlight is great too, it's very bright, but honestly I barely ever bring it cause the headlamp is nearly as bright as it and hands free.

Sporting a first-gen Polystinger with/ a Terralux TLE-ST1-EX MiniStar LED Conversion Kit. I've lost track of how old it is now. Lifetime warranty has been awesome - Streamlight has replaced the switch twice at no cost. Great company!
